Interaction Between Nurse Informaticists and Other Specialists
Post a description of experiences or observations about how nurse informaticists and/or data or technology specialists interact with other professionals within your healthcare organization. Suggest at least one strategy on how these interactions might be improved. Be specific and provide examples. Then, explain the impact you believe the continued evolution of nursing informatics as a specialty and/or the continued emergence of new technologies might have on professional interactions.

Solution
Interaction between nurse informaticists and other health care professionals is mandatory to improve the quality of patient care in a medical facility. According to Furukawa et al. (2020), nurse informaticists search as researchers, information systems developers, and educators of other specialists. Thus, nurse informaticists interact with other healthcare workers while enquiring about their needs to ensure that the developed system satisfies targeted users’ needs. Additionally, informaticists interact with other practitioners while sharing information regarding diverse systems and how to utilize them to improve quality of care, meeting patients’ needs. According to Ng et al. (2016), nurse informaticists’ inputs enable healthcare professionals to provide patients with technological and technical perspective of care.
An Observations of Interaction between Nurse Informaticists and other Professionals
I have observed an interaction between nurse informaticists and other healthcare professionals in the operating room where I work as an RN circulator. Nurse informaticists educate RN circulators on how to incorporate robotic technology into their clinical practices to support robotic surgery. According to Raheem et al. (2020), robotic surgery is beneficial to surgeons, patients, and nurses. It facilitates minimal invasive surgery, enhances visualization, and reduces inconveniences during the operation. Additionally, nurse informaticists educate fresher on how to utilize vital systems such as electronic healthcare records (HER).
The Impact of Evolution in Nurse Informatics
I believe that continued evolution in nurse informatics will enhance their interaction with other specialists, improving the quality of patient care and health outcomes. For example, evolution in nursing informaticists will lead to better medication reconciliation and patient education.
