The nurses are also at a higher risk of undergoing stress. Therefore, they must be trained on how to manage stress and relate with their patients effectively.
Nursing care in People Living with HIV/AIDs entails assessing their past medical history, reactions to antiretroviral drugs, dietary supplements, and diagnosis of any other infectious diseases. This procedure is conducted regularly on the patients to ensure their body system is not weakened by the virus. The following are some of the HIV/AIDs nursing care that can be assessed on Persons Living with HIV/AIDs:
Nutrition assessment. It is crucial for the professional health worker responsible for providing the patient care needs to assess their nutrition history. Maintaining a balanced diet is essential for these patients to enable the antiretroviral drugs to function properly in their system. In addition, examining the patient’s skin condition and respiratory levels is necessary.
